Local Councils, unlike principal authorities are not required by law, to adopt a constitution, however they do need to adopt Standing Orders and Financial Regulations and to have other governing documents which set out how the Council operates. The policies for the council are reviewed throughout the year on an annual, bi-yearly and termly schedule.
